INTRODUCTION

NetXploreIt© system combines multiple network administration utilities in a single user-friendly
application. It provides essential IP network troubleshooting tools for onsite network engineers and
for system integrators providing remote support for their clients.

NetXploreIt eliminates the need for installing and switching between multiple tools for your routine network troubleshooting:

  • Layer 2 and layer 3 Topology maps
  • Device and network Inventory information
  • Network Syslog messages
  • Device Configuration
  • Terminal client
  • Interface Monitor

are accessible from within a single client app, through a simple command line interface, without the need to navigate through numerous menus, windows and dialogue boxes.

NetXploreIt System runs in a client-server arrangement, where the “Server” includes application, databases, web server and other components to communicate with the network devices, store configurations and discovered information, and respond to user client queries. The “Administrator client” is used for system administration functions such as creating user accounts, adding devices’ IP addresses, defining device models and various other functions. The “User client” is where the network administrator issue CLI like queries to the server in order to carry the required network troubleshooting. Both clients are desktop applications and connects to the Server using the secure HTTPS. The “User Client” allows saving all the troubleshooting session data into an encrypted file for later review or for sharing with others, with Interface monitor charts saved as standard pdf documents.

The NetXploreIt “Viewer” is a standalone desktop application that can be used to view files generated by the “User Client”, whether normal or encrypted. It is a free app and runs without any dependency on the Server.
